Dempo Goodwill Ambassador Natasha Palha’s quest to compete in tournaments rated higher than $15000 has been an uphill one, albeit one that she is beginning to prove herself equal to.
Playing in Thailand last month, the ambassador, promoted by Dempo Industries Pvt. Ltd, qualified for both the $25,000 events she took part in, one at Hua Hin and the other at Bangkok.
The ace paddler proved she was made of stern stuff by beating higher ranked players, first Sara Tomic of Australia, ranked 573, and next, Ksenija Palkina of Russia, ranked 584, each in the final qualifying rounds.
