The Keel laying ceremony of 4000T Floating Dock being built for GSL was held at our Undir shipyard in Goa. Goa Shipyard is associated with this project to meet the requirement of the Government of Sri Lanka through this export order on behalf of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The Floating Dock of the Sri Lankan Navy will be capable of docking vessels up to 115 meters in length and will have a lifting capacity of 4000 Tons. The project symbolises friendship between India and Sri Lanka.
The event was graced in virtual and physical mode by His Excellency Shri Gopal Baglay, High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, Commander of Sri Lanka Navy, Dignitaries of MEA Government of India, Chairman and Managing Director of Goa Shipyard Limited Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, Chairman of Dempo Group Shri Shrinivas Dempo, GSL Director Corporate Planning and Business Development Captain Jagmohan, GSL Director Finance Shri Sunil Bagi, Director of Dempo Shipbuilding and Engineering Pvt Ltd and Modest Infrastructure Pvt Ltd Shri Chandan Kamat, General Manager (GES) Shri V.K Deshpande and other officials.
