Dempo Vishwa Gramshala (DVG) is an initiative of the Vasantrao Dempo Education and Research Foundation aimed at enhancing and enriching the educational experience of our rural Goan children by offering professional support and funds targeted at holistic and inclusive educational practices.
DVG adopts school campuses in rural areas and provides infrastructural improvements and developments. It strives to enhance the learning environment of the students and contributes many crucial teaching aids to all campus departments from Sports to Biology, supported many field trips, exposure visits, monthly themes school activities, and Stakeholder Community Events.
DVG also conducts Faculty Intensive Training Programme, which not only focuses on professional development and the introduction of new pedagogies, but also lively group participation, personal testimony and sharing of experiences. It provides special emphasis on active learning, the principles of Child Centric teaching, and early childhood education as the bedrock of character-building and imbuing civil responsibility in children.
