“N.S.S volunteers now a day’s should make optimum use of the platform made available to them through National Service Scheme for Social and National upliftment” said Shri Rama Rao Wagh, Professor at the Goa University who was speaking as the Chief Guest at the inauguration of the N.S.S and Y.R.C Unit of D.C.T’s Vasantrao Dempo H.S.S. of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira. He urged the N.S.S volunteers to preserve and protect the environment in this endeavor.
The Chief Guest, planted a sapling in the school premises in the presence of the principal Mrs. Rupa S. Prabhu Khope and Vice Principal Mrs. Rekha Keni Gurala along with the NSS Program Officers Mr. Chetan Kavlekar and Mr. Vishal Bhandari, other teachers in charge Mr. Sanjay Naik and Mr. Ajay Joshi.
Principal Mrs. Rupa S. Prabhu Khope, gave the welcome address and said that N.S.S is for the benefit of the society and also for the personality development of the students. Shri. Chetan Kavlekar, N.S.S Program Officer, gave an insight into the programmes planned for academic year.
Earlier, the teachers of our Institution presented a welcome song.
Teacher, Shri Sanjay Naik proposed a vote of thanks, while teacher Miss Grace Jacob was the compere for the function.
