Goa Carbon, BITS Pilani to collaborate on research

Goa Carbon has awarded Thermax a contract for a Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) system specifically for Calcined Petroleum Coke kiln off-gases. The FGD system aims to achieve an SO₂ removal efficiency of over 90%. This is the first initiative of its kind in Goa for this application, demonstrating Goa Carbon’s commitment to meeting SO₂ control standards and improving environmental sustainability with advanced technology from Thermax.

Furthermore, Goa Carbon is actively pursuing GreenCo certification, an initiative promoted by the Goa Pollution Control Board.
