DEMPO, the first name to break ground in higher education over half a century ago in Goa, has kept to the forefront in ensuring examination success for its students year after year!
This year, too, examinations conducted by the Goa Board of Higher Secondary Education (Standard XII) in March and the IIT- JEE (Mains)- 2018, have proved DEMPO to be leading the race of academic success.
The Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts Science and Commerce not only fared exceedingly well at the examinations held in March this year, but topped the Commerce stream, with Miss Shivani Bhide scoring a little over 95%, and Miss Saavi Natekar scoring a little over 94% in Science, topping the stream!
At the Dempo Higher Secondary School of Science, too, the Goa Board examination showed up scientific excellence – Miss Shubechha Mudras scoring 93%, Miss Rashmi de Souza 91%, Miss Kiandra dos Santos 90% and Miss Tania Dias scoring 92%, with a 100% score in Biology!
Turning to the boys, Mr. Sahas Kamat notched up a huge victory, taking Goa’s highest rank at the IIT-JEE Mains- 2018, with an All India Rank of of 999, scoring 263. Others doing well were Mr. Krithik MV scoring 215 marks, Mr. Amay Varma scoring 204 marks and Mr. Rohit Kartik scoring 157. That’s not all – ten other students have qualified for the IIT- JEE Mains 2018!
We at DEMPO seize this opportunity to congratulate the students, their parents, their teachers and the institutional administrators on the huge achievement! The Governing Boards reiterate their resolve to keep the DEMPO pennant flying high over the Goan higher education landscape in the years to come!
