On Febraury 12, 2020, DVG sponsored a “Home and Away” reverse fieldtrip at Dadachiwadi Government High School.
Organized as “pop-up” interactive museum event, this function was DVG’s first “Home and Away” initiative.
“Home and Away” is a new concept in fieldtrips where the “field” is brought to the main school campus and surrounding educational institutions come and visit.
5 High Schools and 6 Primary Schools participated in Dadachiwadi’s “Exhibition of Ancestral Equipment.” Fascinating items such as copper and brass utensils, traditional agricultural equipment, carpentry tools and traditional household items were on display, celebrating the rich local heritage of rural Goa.
The local response was excellent. Children, parents, teachers and local Community members enjoyed the informative talks, displays and activities.
The exhibition will continue until February 15, 2020.
