Table Tennis Girl Wonder and Dempo Goodwill Ambassador Tanisi Kirtani was felicitated by Goa’s Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar at the Vasco Marathon on 13th December. Speaking as the event’s chief guest, Mr. Parsekar lauded the men and women participating and winning, and lauded little Tanisi, saying Goa was not only a touristic hub, but also a rising sports destination. The marathon which was attended by hundreds of locals was organised by Vasco Sports Club. Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida, Vasco Sports Club President Nitin Bandekar, as also Chairman and Managing Director of the NRB Group Narayan Bandekar were prominent by their presence at the run, which was flagged off from SAG Grounds, Chicalim.
The next feather in Tanisi’s cap is tea at Cabo Raj Niwas on Goa Liberation Day, 19th December, hosted by Her Excellence the Governor of Goa Mrs. Mridula Sinha. Rounding off a year with a cap full to the brim with feathers!
