The AFC Grassroots Festival was held on the 1st of June 2019 at Ella Grounds from 9am onwards.
The Dempo Academy boys and the U-14 Dempo boys of 2019-20 season were the 55 participants.
A Mini Baby League in a 6v6 format was held where in Dempo Reds were declared the winners among the five teams supervised by Asst Coaches Melwyn Rodrigues and Vaman Chari.
Apart from the Mini League, Skills Competitions in the form of Ball Juggling (Kick ups), Target line etc were held during the festival.
The Participants were given Dempo Wrist bands as a memorabilia on this special Occasion by Senior Manager John Dias.
In the concluding speech U-14 Coach Pradeep Chopdekar and Academy Coach Remus Gomes briefed the boys on the importance of Grassroots and how they build the team on the core aspect of fun and development.
Physio Aaron stressed on the basic minute details of nutrition and gave lasting tips on its benefits.
South Goa Grassroots Coordinator Antonio Pereira compered while North Goa Grassroots Coordinator Alexander Fernandes gave the Vote of Thanks
